Villain has been a postflop calling station with mediocre hands all night. Preflop he has been tight-passive, so could have AK, AQ, KQ, QQ, JJ, maybe TT. Given the read - calls too much but half of his likely hands have me beaten - should I bet more on the turn, or just check/fold?

bet 3 and call an all-in. how much does he have left? 4.50? you could bet that too i suppose. no way i'm folding here.

Thanks for the advice. I really hate that the 3-straight spooked me so easily on this hand. Was my initial flop bet too weak?

I would have made it like $1.2 on the flop.

I would have made it at least 70 cents preflop, more if the table is loose. When I have AA, I slow way down on a flop like this. All kinds of hands beat you. Call the flop, check the turn. Call a small river bet. This is definitely a "keep the pot small" hand imo.

What kind of hands beat you that are likely from villain? KQ, J10, JJ, 10-10. Very likely holdings. You beat KK, QQ, AJ, A10. So....50/50 here if you are ahead. Keep the pot small.
