So i was thinking that he would pay me with any good flush draw here, as well as any J. I feel now that i should have just called and hoped that he bluffed. what do you all think?

Bet the flop.

Go ahead and push turn. He's most likely got a J and isn't going to fold it.

Agreed.

Also, if you think he's paying you off with a flush draw, it's best to bet the flop. Also, that's why you shovel more money in on the turn, so he'll pay you off before the river bricks for his sometime Ad.

Bet the flop here, there is a made flush on the flop and you gave him a free draw to the bare ace for free.
You have second set on the flop which is a long way from the nuts.

I would just get the chips in on the turn, people rarely fold to a push when they have check raised you on the turn.

Please bear in mind you don't actually have the nuts here, JJ & JT are possible, however I think A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif Jx here are most likely, and he isn't folding that.
