Hey all, in my session today I ran into this hand and was wondering what to do with it.

Villain once cold called my pf raise with AJo I had tens and there was a J on the flop, he had position and played it passive c/c flop, turn was a K, I check he checks, river blank I bet he calls with AJ and wins. So villain is a bit passive.

A couple hands further, I raise some suited crap to mix my game up.

Hero bets 3$, Button calls $3

Hero?

C-bet the flop I think is standard. After he calls the C-bet at the dry flop I think his most likely holdings are AK, KQ, KJ and maybe 99, 44, TT, JJ, QQ.

Because of my heart plus pair outs and because this villain is rather passive. What should be my plan for the turn? and what should we do on a heart river, two pair or trips river?

check, this seems obvious? You get a free card and don't have to put anymore money in while behind.

Due to the history I'm inclined to believe he'll call down with an underpair to the king here, or a weak king. That turn card changed nothing for villians hand, so I see no reason to bet.

I should have said that Villain is a decent player and his passiveness was maybe due to pot control etc. In this hand there is a decent chance he will bet an amount I am not sure off and he will call the amount I will bet. So should I let him choose an amount on the turn from 0$ till 10$ or should I bet an amount wich will at least break even because of further betting?

You cannot take a free card, you are out of position.

Check the turn and call if you have odds.

Okay, from just an EV point of view checking and calling if u get the odds is probably correct. But will I get paid on the river if its a heart after I check call the turn?

If I keep the betting lead, vilain will still have no idea what kind of hand I have, wich will give me an advantage for the river play no?
