i lead the flop to see where i stand really, im giving up if i get called by anyone other than UTG. Is it standard to lead here?

Is it really worth $7 to "know where you stand" here? Against 3 opponents you are really playing your JJ for set value. You have some SD values so you want to proceed as cheap as possible cause your hand cannot take any heat. 2 other opponents have called also and you have the worst position at the table. It's not advisable to lead into that field although the board looks quite harmless. Check and see what happens.

Pokey wrote some great lines about betting and raising for information yesterday: read it here (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=0&Number=8346418&page=0&vc=1) (towards the end of the post).

Check the flop and see what happens. As played, you are letting the preflop raiser play perfectly against you. Now you should fold if button is competent.
