I'm having a bitch of a time making money at these low stakes. Is there any truth to the notion that moving up in stakes will allow you to make more money since the amounts become much more significant then in these micro stakes?

On the below hand, what do you think of my play?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Are you just kidding? If you're not, given no reads just call the reraise preflop.

If you can't beat these stakes what makes you think you can win against better opposition?

The hand itself was played horribly. With the CO posting I'd make it at least $0.50 to start with.

When someone reraises you like this then its a big hand unless you have a read to say otherwise so I'd advise calling and playing for set value until you have more information. As it stands your raise to $1.20 won't fold anyone out and you're just bloating the pot out of position.

By the time it comes back to you on the flop you've shown ridiculous amounts of strength and the guy still pushes over the top of your raise. I rarely advise folding overpairs but I'm pretty sure you can find a fold here.

Stop bloating pots with pointless raises like your four bet preflop with hands that are often hard to play out of position in a multiway pot.
That would have saved you at least a little bit of money based strictly on pot size when you make the flop raise and then fold.

Thanks for the replies.

I re-raised thinking JJ is a top tier hand and it worthy of a re-raise hoping to push others out and assuming I likely had the best hand. Maybe I was wrong there.

MP3 had AA giving him trips.

Min-raising isn't going to push anyone out.
