I took a break after Party dumped us and i haven't played since. I'm starting back at the micros and I'm feeling super rusty... the decisions aren't coming as quick as they used to. What do I do here? Villain is 54/16/2.6

Hand history isn't working right with converter...so I typed it out

SevenB ($38)
awarunn ($25.10)
jsnew ($19.25)
jaycanplay ($42.20)

awarunn posts SB $0.10 Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif
jsnew posts BB $0.25
jaycanplay calls $0.25
SevenB folds
awarunn raises to $1.50
jsnew folds
jaycanplay calls $1.25

FLOP 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif T/images/graemlins/club.gif 5/images/graemlins/club.gif

awarunn bets $3.10
jaycanplay raises to $6.20

Unless you have a good read on him, I'd fold. It's not worth the risk IMO.

can you explain? there are two draws out there, minraises can be taken to mean various things. why do you assume this is a big hand this time?

edited to add:
also...wouldn't you think that folding overpairs to minraises on drawheavy boards might be somewhat of a leak?

Agreed, only two hands can beat you right now, so that's a plus. I guess I tend to play very conservatively unless I've played a few hands with the villain or have a read of some kind.

Yes, without a good read, I think folding is bad. I call and see what the turn is, check to him and see how eager he is to put in $$. if he makes a 3/4 pot bet you can easily get away.

aight, that's what i thought was right... so i pushed. i mean...calling has got to be wrong since his range is a variety of draws which you don't have much of an edge against and a few sets that pwn the sh*it out of you...so...yeah calling seemed -EV...and folding seemed soooo weak tight so my only other option was pushing, therefore i pushed, he turned over a set and that was that. But at this point i'm thinking a push was the correct move still.

I wouldn't call this one, if he was bluffing, or a on a draw too bad. If my cbets get reraised, and all I have is toppair I most likely fold. I don't consider this a leak, unless I have a good read on the villain. And the fact that it is a miniraise is something I don't really care about, a lot of donks don't want to reraise big because they are afraid the opponent will fold. I don't understand the advice people give here, at 25nl people most of the time reraise when they got a big hand. I would also fold AA here, I make this move all the time against people with AA/KK, and they just can't fold it, and get it all in against my set.
If he was first to act, and made a minibet, offcourse reraise big, but now isn't the time, and you aren't pot committed yet. And he probably isn't going to fold to a push, because he is kind of pot commited, suppose he had something like JcQc, then it would be an easy call or a set off course.
