The check behind on the turn is ok, because the board is scary indeed. Keep the pot small. The river call with the straight is standard.

call river, he has the 8 or AA or something enough to make it profitable 1 in 3 times. It's close though, no value in raising, you're probably splitting a good bit too with KQ or a donkish KT or something. At these limits you can't automatically assume he has the boat or AK here.

Turn check behind is good, you don't want to get committed to an overpair on a dangerous board.
