Villain is playing pretty lag. This is my 4th orbit or so at the table, and I don't have stats b/c my pokertracker freezes everytime I open it. He has been playing pretty lag and has 3 bet a couple of times. He 3-bet me once after i raised 99 UTG and I called. I led the A 8 2 flop thinking a wide range of his three betting hands hate this flop. He folded JJ with a little bit of thought.

AJ is a bad hand to reraise him with.. you will almost allways be dominated when called, and will have a very tough decision when you flop a pair.

I don't know what else you can do but lead out. If you try and c/r he will be committed so you have no fe and are stuck with what amounts to a gutshot. Strong pf play.

$38 left behind and the pot is $30. Even a push doesn't have much FE. AJo is a bad reraising hand and UTG is even worse. If you think you can get him to lay down his hand, push. But you are drawing at 4 outs, probably. I'd check/fold and make a note to myself not to resteal with trouble hands oop against LAGs too often.

As played im shoving this flop, pot is $30 and we have $38 behind. We have a double gutshot any 9 or k and loads of fold equity hopefully.

Doh. Missed that again. But I doubt we have much FE. We are about 33% to hit the draw and we are getting 68:38 if he calls. That's very marginal, but could be break even adding FE and maybe a A or J as an out (very improbable).

Yeah, I agree with Longy here as played, after the insane pf action it has to be arrrrrrr in....

Be ready with the "add more chips" thingy....

By losing your stack here you are hopefully setting yourself up for some loose calls...but in reality the guy just hits and runs you and you are stuck with a bunch of shorties who laugh at/berate you.... /images/graemlins/smile.gif

shove.

OP: when you make a call like that with 99, c/r the flop, dont lead it.
