So I've come to the conclusion that I'm just in a cold streak. Nothing I can do about it. But I'm trying to use it to improve my game. I've made a concerted effort to be more aggressive (I had let agressiveness fall to a pretty lame level) and moved down to NL10 for the time being. Here are my current stats and a few problem hands.

1: call c/r on flop, you're building the pot up with a pretty marginal hand and villain is showing alot of strength.

2: Raise a bit more pf. Alot of players will tell you to check river, but I think this is fine. The number of times he is calling you down with a Q makes this profitable

3: raise a bit more pf given mps stack the flop bet is fine, usually I'd bet more here though.

On hand #2 I raised what I did because that's my standard raise amount. I used to raise more with the big pairs but found that others would figure that out and always fold. I typically just raise what I would raise with any hand that I'm entering the pot with in that position.

If I'm raising here it will only be with big hands anyway 99+ (maybe just TT+) AQs AK. I'd mke it at least $0.6.

Hand 1: Pot the flop. Very drawy. Forget the mini reraise. Raise it like you mean it. At least $4 and fold to an all in based on any read you may have that he doesn't get out of line. Fold turn as played.

Hand 2: Fine. Raise to $.60 preflop though. Nitpicky I know /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hand 3: Fine. Flop bet is too small given coordination of board. I would probably pot it.

Hand 1 - Raise to 3.5 or 4, and fold to a push if villain is unknown/standard.

Hand 2 - pf raise to 0.6. Flop and turn are fine, Bet 3-4 on river, that all in will lose value from a lot of worse hands.

Hand 3 - pf raise to 0.6. bet 1.2-1.5 on flop.

So, would ya'll believe that a-hole in hand #2 had a 56o and rivered the straight....

believable but results don't matter. I would never put him on that, AQ would be much more likely. Maybe that's just my lack of experience also. There's no way you can push him off that draw unless you decide to go all in on the turn. You played it as well as you could. Only thing is that maybe you should put him on that OESD hand also while making bets. When that card hit, you should probably be more aware. This will probably save your losses more. If you bet less, if he goes super aggro, you are probably beat. TPTK doesn't go super aggro when they think they can win the pot by checking. Busted draws will, monster hands also will.

Also, overpairs are just TP, they have value but not stacking value. Usually if you push to stack someone, you might be the one that is stacked.
