Scientifically, mathematically and philosophically what is the main issue with the England team in the ashes?

Trying to make it relevant to the forum! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks mate!

Obviously cricket being purely holy and unable to sin it has nothing to do with maths. Scientifically its just verification of the General Theory of Ozzitivity (for the ignorant, that's the theory that Ozzies only want to talk sport when they win).

Philosophicaly all topics are completely encompassed, I'll just deal with two:

The problem of evil: Not only have we seen another demonstration of pain and suffering being caused by something purely good but as you lot realise this time (and we will realise when we retain the ashes after going two down) the pain and suffering is necessary for the highest good.

Morality: What hurts most is not that we lost but we didn't play the game right. Fear and no doubt some immoral utilitarian calculation meant we didn't play our best side or with the right attitude in both second innings. Do the right thing and it doesn't matter that much if you lose, do the wrong thing and lose - from that there's no escape.
