Hello

I know that it is mostly english-speaking people oriented site, but there is posters from France too, and I hope that they could help with this issue.

That's in english http://www.pokerpages.com/poker-news/new...ation-29394.htm (http://www.pokerpages.com/poker-news/news/france-considers-anti-online-poker--gambling-legislation-29394.htm)

There are some in french too

I live in France but I am of russian origine, and my french is not so good to understand all the nuances. May be there is someone who could explain to me what this law (if accepted) will lead to?

Thanks in advance.

This wouldn't be good for the overall poker community. I have found players from France to generally be the worst in the world when it came to playing poker. Very loose passive. I guess I should expect that from the French.

I can't post anything of value, sorry. Hope the freakin' EC does good for once. Otherwise it's back to granting agricultural subsidies for you guys. Hope that helps.

Both of these are pretty peripheral, one on underage and another on advertising, even so both might come up against an EU ruling.

Given the EU judgements have always come down in favour of cross border gambling as part of the single market and the UK clear position within that Europe is the place most likely to retain legal online poker. The stuff in this link is not a significant threat.

Move to Italy. It is 100% legal there.
