This situation seems to come up ALOT; give up or bet?
So far in the past few months I've noticed that this situation comes up atleast 3 or 4 times a session. I run into an unknown and flop a near nut draw / AK whiffs. I cbet and am floated. Turn is a dud to my hand and I check behind. River is checked to me. What do you do?

Check behind on river. How much are you willing to bluff and what do you think he is folding? He may have missed a flush draw, but then your Q may be good enough.

PF is pretty light to be raising.

It's only 5 handed so I don't mind the raise. I'd probably fire $8 or $9 here. Chances are that he would be scared of an A here, as you likely raised with an A and now you hit. He'd probably bet an A on the river.

I raise this here about 99% of the time (I'm 30/20/2.5). Just check behind on the river.

Reads tip the scales ... but you hand looks like some kind of whiffed ace, so I have a tendency to confidently bet around nine dollars here.

.... and if he has got an ace ... oh well /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I ended up betting 10 dollars and he folded.

I don't mind raise, it's something I do occasionally.

I fire again on river probly 3/4 pot which looks like around 8-10 bucks. You can easily rep Ax here.

This is a good opportunity to take the pot.

River card is a blessing for you. 10$ is a good bet.
