Villian is an unknown.

How do you like my play up to the river, and what do you do on the river?

you played it perfectly. looks like your beat on the river though, i'd put villain on JT or KJ. Fold, knowing you played the hand great.

This might sound a little stupid but I might actually call the river. I don't really see him with a J that often.

It's a tough choice, it would be easy if we knew how donkish villain is but as an unknown he could have a huge range. We're only behind to sets and jacks, and getting ~1.5:1 I agree with a call.

I can't call without a read here. There are 36 hands (TJ, and KJ, and QJ) that make perfect sense for him to play like this. Everything else doesn't make that much sense at all. Like if he has KT, or , AT, he would have probably woken up sooner. Also, if he has those hands, why doesn't he make a blocker bet on river or check hoping that you check along?

There aren't any pure draws on the flop besides QJ, so I don't see anything that he missed. He has to have something real on the turn because of the size of your bet and the scare card. I think it's either a made straight that he's slowplaying (QJ), or a pair plus gutshot combo like KJ, or TJ.

edit: I found a hand that you beat. It's 97. I still don't like the river call, but I like it better now that you might be against 97.

Agreed - though I would call this knowing I should have folded.

I agree with what everyone has been saying but do you really think JT is in his ranger after the turn?

This should be an easy fold.

You played it fine. But I fold here. If he's willing to chase draws like this, add him to your buddy list. He's a keeper.
