This hand is from a while ago, I found it while reviewing some hands in PT.

Villain is a pretty good TAG regular. He's even a little bit tighter than me: 17/12 over 1.6k hands. WSD 22%. W$SD 51%. Definitely a winner at these stakes.

We didn't have much history when we played this hand. We tend to mostly stay out of each other's way.

River: ($9.75) 7/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>

Bet turn or river? Both? Neither?

I'd repop this preflop. Even though he probably has a good idea about position his range is reasonably wide and you'll define his hand really well. It's not like you're giving up much equity against his 4betting range anyway.

Difficult to comment on the turn action. On the one hand we've only got TP2K so pot control seems like a good move but we know he doesn't have much of a hand (or he'd be firing again on this kind of board) but could easily make any number of draws on the river.

looks to me like he made his standard cbet and then gave up therefore i prolly fire the turn to get rid of him. as played i prolly fire the river as he could possibly call wit a mid pp tryin to pick off ur bluff

I think I'd bet the turn. If you get raised I think you can fold. The problem with checking is that if he bets out on the river, is he bluffing or value betting? And, if you're ahead, you are letting him catch up by checking the turn. I like the value bet on the river. He may call thinking you had an Ah.

Ya, this was before I did a lot of 3-betting.

I think I would mostly raise preflop but this is ok too. I think I would rather bet 7-10 on turn and check river.

Neither! Will he call Your River bet with a holding that You can beat? Never! Will Your bet make him fold a better hand? I don't think so, maybe AQ is in a tough spot, but the pot odds are inviting to call.

No, I would check.

Looks good to me, and all this 3 betting preflop ... well that is impossible to say anything about without table dynamics.

Basic WA/WB potcontrol stuff ... call flop, check turn, call or bet river (if checked)

I got called by Ts8s.

Again, TAGs, LOL.

I'd rather bet turn and check river than check turn and bet river on a board like this. Villain could easily hold A/images/graemlins/heart.gif.

I like the way this was played.
