says if you can beat aces in a raised pot you have the nuts.

this fairly accurate?

In a reraised pot, if you can beat AA on the flop, you're good to get it all-in. I think this is usually credited to El Diablo here at 2P2.

8. Dont make big laydowns. By the time you can actually think about making a big laydown you are getting too good of a price at the pot to fold.(I.E dont fold sets)

[/ QUOTE ]

This is horrible.

Never folding a set isn't too bad. I assume he's not talking about staying with it with 4 straight or 4 flush or other obvious hands.

I'm not sure I would assume anything. But "Don't make big laydowns" is the horrible part. That's about the worst thing in the world to put in a beginners head.

I guess the problem is with what we define as a "big" laydown. I see his point if he's saying to never fold a set, but if we consider folding AA to be a big laydown, well...

its not for begginers...its posted in hsnl. Aces is a 5/10 and 10/20 player who beats the games pretty hard and this guide when he says "dont make big laydowns" he did not gear the advice to microstakes players.
