Villain had raised 3 buttons in a row on me and I decided to play back here. No reads other than that. Anyone call for whole stack with measly 3s?

Had he been raising from the CO or when you were in the SB? Anyway, I prefer a flat call and play a decent-sized pot in position rather than a bloated pot where >80% of the time you'll be facing a 3-overcard flop.

As played, I fold to the raise.

That is so readdependent that it hurts, but I must admit that with a good read, I would. Without a read no, but with a read yes.

My first post, lurking for a while.

I would never call.

The problem is that when you are behind to a higher pair you are drawing to 2 outs and when you are ahead he usually have at least 6 outs, sometimes more when he has a flush draw or whatever.

I let this go every time.

I was going on memory here and misrepped our positions. Point was that he was raising a lot from cutoff and the button and what I recall the most is his button play with me in the SB.

Fold. CO is putting you on missed overs. I think he has a pair of some sort and you're screwed.

Well I thought about it for the full 15 secs and I ending up putting the villian on missed overs so I called. He showed AJ and my 3s held up. Putting aside the results, I think the right move was to fold though (for all the reason cited in your replies). Thanks for confirming.

So same flop comes out and the villian makes the standard cbet. My next move is to min raise right? Lol, I mean a pot size reraise?

I was talking about preflop. You're basically playing for set value, unless you have a strong read otherwise. If you want to take it away from villain, you can float and raise the turn (representing strength) - but you're getting into dangerous territory if the read is incorrect.

good read, good post, From the info you explained to us, it doesn't sound like that bad of a call, but it was bloated, and i've read that a lot of overbets don't want to be called. Adding my noob 2 cents, good thread learned some from it.
