You didnt shove on the turn. I would bet more like 20 or so.

check on the turn would be a nice little move

what are the benefits of checking the turn? basically any overcard, for that matter, any blank and you have to lay down to a large bet. blank and i cringe calling a 1/2 PSB with a pair of tens. if you hit your straight, its basically the most transparent thing in the world as you suddenly wake up on the river

I effectively pushed the turn.

Villain had 17 left.

i take back the check in this situation...seeing as ~1/2 of villians stack is already in the middle pushing seems the best option. if the pot was smaller relative to the stack sizes i like a check on the turn to keep the pot small

If he has a 7 or an 8, he has 5 outs. If he has a T with a worse kicker, he has 3 outs. If he has a 9 for an OESD, he has 8 outs (to a chop, although he couldn't know that).

What else might he have, donk/call the flop, and check the turn? We could be behind as well, maybe to a JT.
