No runins with Villain yet, and no notes, which means he's at least not terrible.

Push is suicide. No worse hand calls, no Ace folds.

i hate this spot, i get stuck here all the time.

I find it very hard fold here though, so without a good read on my opponent i usually bet to the end. edit: Usually small bets to make it look like i'm trying to keep him in and to keep the pot small. If i can keep the pot small i will fold to a big raise on river.

Probably right. I wanted to see what you/others would say to that nevertheless. At least by pushing the turn though, you never lose this pot to a worse hand. By checking, you are setting yourself up for just that. If you check turn you are getting bet into by just about any pocket pair.

A check-raise on the flop could be a better (but more expensive) way to find out where you stand. If he checks behind you'd have to lead the turn. This seems like a good case for the Reverse Implied Odds file. I'd worry about the fact that he called a healthy preflop re-raise. As played I think I'd just crap my pants on the turn.

A check raise will fold only make a worse hand fold and build the pot for a better hand.

his call on the flop screams "I HAVE AN ACE, I AM TOO SCARED TO RAISE BEACUSE YOU MIGHT FOLD"

I sadly C/C small bets on turn and river, C/F to anything bigger than 1/2 pot. You cant win ever KK

check and call a very small bet hoping to see the river as cheap as possible... QQ and JJ are calling here, maybe he is a donkey and can't fold TT. i see AJ-AK here a bunch, actually this is shorthanded so if rr is common he might be calling with almost any A hoping to hit like he did and F your Kings in the A. dont blow a few hours work and almost doubly your money on KK with 2 aces on board.

That flat call on flop kinda smells like Ax getting tricky, although if hes passive he could be peeling one off for the flush draw. Check turn, call a small sized bet, craising will get you nowhere IMO.

I'd check. If he bets, I'd check out his AF on my hud. If he is aggressive, I might c-r allin (on the turn), if I feel committed to the hand. I think that's the best way to get the most out of a worse hand while protecting your hand a little (not a reason to do it, just a benefit).

I think you should have bet 3/4x-1x pot on the flop though, because you would have gotten more reliable information about his hand. Betting more makes him basically tell you if he's got an ace or not. But you have to be able to fold getting like 4:1 if he pushes.

thoughts?
