You coulda bet more on each street, but one thing for sure, don't ever fold a hand like that on the river.

you sure? I think JT is what i belived him to have all the way. Aces and such would have gladly called the riverbet, but i see only JT calling all the way and then reraise.

I was thinking JT all the way too, but he has two pair enough to call if he raises river. Never 3bet though.
Check/call also works.

raise it up preflop to like fitty cent. You want to build a pot for when you flop your set.
As played the later streets are fine but I bet river more for value here. You're ahead way more often than you think so value bet city. So many calling stations at $10NL they will often call down to river with top pair weak kicker.

yeah i was thinking if a raise would be better pf, but since i will only hit a set what is it 1/11? i think a play like that must gurantee that i get the kind of action i want when set is there.

AQ, "slowplayed" A8, A9, A5, and AK will raise that river (48 combos).

All you fear is AA, 99, 67, and JT (38 combos). Of those only 99, 67s, and JTs are likely to call your PFR. That's 11 combos.

I'm folding that river never.

You have to remember though, that when you raise this hand PF you get less callers and you will take it down on the flop with a cbet with far more frequency than when you do not raise.

Example: 2 limpers, you raise with 88 to .50 you get sb folds, bb calls, 1st limper folds, 2nd limper calls. The flop comes K high with 2 rags. You missed but you still have 2nd pair and your hand is very often good at this point.

67 got there too. Kidn of an interesting river spot that I never really thought about before.

My idea is just that im probably beaten so hard if i get reraised on that river, still a check from me will make any kind of bet from villian a real pain in the a$$ to me as well. So figured the block bet would come in handy.

Please never fold this to a river push on this board and bet a little more for value.

I've been reading a book called PRESSURE POKER,and the one thing that I got from the book that I utilized is the turn bet. On the flop, you are clearly ahead to everything except AA and 99. Seeing that this is not a frequent event, you can continue in the hand. Additionally, none of your opponents are showing any real strength.
PREFLOP
I would have put in a 5xbb raise(.50)

FLOP
Again a .50-.75 bet would have suffice.

TURN
My preference is to put in a PSB! At this point, you want to make your opponents pay for being in the hand. Also, placing the pressure on the opponent. At the level that you are playing, AQ,AK,AJ will pay you off EVERY TIME!

second option is to shove. But than you give up equity to a fold by AJ. An aggressive low limit player is gonna call you more often than not.
