Today the following hand occured

Preflop: Hero Raises
CO: Calls
BB: Pushes all in.

Now I want to reraise to put myself all in as well and get CO out of the hand.
But no matter how much I search the screen the only options I have is call or fold.

Why is this?? Please someone explain.

BB's push was less than a minraise over your bet...that closes the action. When you want to get it all in with a family pot and a shorty who might push, bet just less than half his stack...that will allow you to push over his AI.

BB's all-in raise would have to be more than the minimum raise for you to re-raise it. If it's not, you just have to call.

Yes, but why?

What is the reason for the rule?

I don't know for sure, but I suspect it's a holdover from limit, which was almost the only form of casino hold 'em for a long time.

This may be too obvious an answer but it is to prevent bettors from purposely using the short stacks to reopen the betting by betting just less than their stack.
