Something smells funny. V is 33/10/2.5 and has seen me raise PF a few times recently

I just can't see him calling with a 7 here, so either he has a set or an overpair.

1. Raise more preflop
2. Nice suckout /images/graemlins/smile.gif

this is fine. you will see 55/88-JJ as much as you will see a 7/boat. this is also overs taking a shot at you some % of the time too as the turn is a great card for them to continue bluffing.

Raise more PF? You're not serious. I dont want to discourage action with KK just want to thin the field a bit. 4xBB is my standard why deveiate?

No, didn't suckout... he had KQo and was bluffing but it was a weird contrast to my earlier AA hand where the guy flopped a set and I pushed the flop to his minraise.

Still don't have a good line in mind for those f'cking minraises when I'm holding overpairs.

If you find one let me know. FWIW, I usually just play the player. That is, I will fold against a solid player, push against a maniac and call down anything in between on a non-threatening board.

well the one you used here was perfect for this flop/turn/player(given his stats an the standard player at 100nl 6max) and prolly my standard against unknowns.

I don't think there is a standard line for dealing with minraises. I think it's player and board dependent. If the board is draw heavy it's a semi-bluff from donks usually. If it's something like Q22 and you have AA it's usually someone with a Q. My typical line is to come back over the top of the minraise. If they push then usually I'll fold.....unless I have a read that they'll play top pair that way. If I come over the top and they just call then usually I think i'm ahead and go at the turn, but that's how I play it.

im not saying you were wrong or questioning your motives but for my own learning experiance why did you bet 3/4 pot on the flop? j/w

Minraises'.......Is it a greek gift or a weak bet?

Pretty Vanilla strategy:
With position, I Usually pressure the initial min-raise and then put out the caution signs when I get called.

1. Is this consistant with the players betting strategy? If he has been 3x betting let go unless you have a draw that will turn in to the best hand.

2. If he constantly min bets, raise to a real raise, thus thinning the field. If he "wakes up" It's probally a greek gift.

3. My thoughts are to put him on a decision. A good online tell is when someone is playing very passively and "wakes up" on a later street.
