Ok so me and two friends just decided to go to Bahamas during this time. We're not gonna play in the tourney so we're just going for the coolness of the Bahamas...beaches/bars/etc. and maybe to meet some 2+2ers. Where should we stay? We dont really want to pay for the Atlantis. I've heard comfort suites is good? We should be on paradise island, right?

Any help would be great.

comfort suites has access to atlantis which is good and def the best option if theres no rooms in the main towers.

Of course, the best way to do it is to win a PCA satellite, and get the whole thing for free. [1]

And we've just laid on a bunch more satellites to give you even more opportunities to win.

But if none of that works out, there are a bunch of properties on Paradise Island, any of which are an easy and pleasant walk to the Atlantis. You'll be more than welcome to participate in our cash games, S&Gs, battleship tournament, and MTTs that we have going there. And it is indeed a blast to hang out with the whole PokerStars community, attach faces to names, and basically party with us. Oh - and there will be one satellite to the main event, so you can always get in that way.

For hotels, check out this Expedia link (http://tinyurl.com/v3bgb). I think most people prefer the Comfort Suites because of its proximity to the Atlantis. It's also got good Wifi.

Best regards,
Lee Jones

Yeah, it rules pretty hard that Lee Jones' posts are among the best in the internet and MTT forums, and 'FTPDoug"'s are among the worst.

(as far as site reps go, FTPDoug obviously isn't the worst poster in the internet forum)

Heh. Maybe I'll save it for next year. Cheers.

Ahhh so with the package you don't haaaave to stay at the Atlantis... that's nice. I'd rather pocket some of that cash and stay at a cheaper place. Then again, I still have not qualified, so not an issue... but that's what I WOULD do. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm afraid there was a misunderstanding. If you win one of our statellites, you "have" to stay at the Atlantis. [1] I was pointing out the other options for people who don't win packages.

are there any upgrade options besides royal towers available?

I decided against the RT upgrade so i would have a shorter walk, but what about upgrading views/to suites in the coral towers at some kinda pokerstars rate?

There are suites in the Coral Tower, and if we have them available, we will be happy to put you in one (they're not cheap, though).

But the very best way to get all these questions answered is to write our PCA team, which works like crazy to answer emails:

pca@pokerstars.com

Rather than wait until I get by here to review these threads, you'll get your answer within a day or two at most.

I'm sure there are some hotels that will allow sub 18. Perhaps a private place, B&B or house rental etc.

I stayed at the Comfort Suites with aejones and another kid for the Conquest event Paradise Poker held over the summer. None of us were 21 and I was worried about the same thing cause all the hotels I looked at required someone to be 21 or older in the room. I had no problem when I checked into the hotel. They didn't even ask for a credit card to be on file (very surprised by this). Aejones and I are playing in the $650 qualifier this weekend and if neither of us get a package then we're staying at the Comfort Suites again.

Although I'm sure most of you have booked by now, the 21 deal generally has to deal with Spring Break and busy months. When you show up there in the middle of January, they will be happy to see some faces and won't cause you any trouble.

I'm staying at the Riu right next to the Atlantis, and was happy with my stay during my last trip to Nassau.
