I'm new to cash so I just wanted to get a quick checkup on some simple hands such as this one, my HUD isn't working properly so I have no reads, but this is a standard shove, correct?

Shoving this certainly isnt terrible in my opinion. Reraising to 10 would be another option. SB may just be playing back at you at this point, expecting that you missed that flop so you may even try to get more of his money in on the turn by just calling.

How are the short handed no limit small stake games on Poker stars btw?

I think a call here is better. He's giving you great odds, and a shove pretty much lets villain play perfectly (he calls w/ a set, folds almost everything else because he'll fear the 4)

from what I can tell at pstars 25NL:

seems to be about 2-3 taggish players per table. Usually there will be one maybe two guys with 40+ VPIP. Its pretty tight, and cbets usually win a lot of pots. Quite beatable, since a some guys take their mediocre hands way too far, and call too much still.

No one seems really solid. Fairly passive in general.

I don't agree with this. I think villian has has an middle overpair (77,88 etc) that he may call a raise with. I also don't think anybody would think you have a 4 here, you raised preflop remember.

I like a reraise - you have a lot of pot equity and fold equity.
