Villain was a little loose PF, but not overly aggresive. I had not noticed him push anything postflop before this hand.

Raise to $2 preflop, continuation bet the flop 3/4 pot. Might not get into this spot then. As it stands, fold.

What does he think you have? - your turn donk says Ace yet he calls. So I say you are beat. CB the flop by some random amount between 1/2 and pot.

I think you played this one well. I think it was BalugaWhale or one of the other wellers that said: "Donīt call big riverbets". This is exactly how 95% of villains would play their monsters. This is probably a flopped set more than anything.

I have been using this little bit of advice lately, and it has really made a difference. Unless you have a good read of villain bluffing, big river bets mean you're beat.

On this hand, I knew villain wasn't afraid of my bet on the Ace. I figured at worst he had 2 pair, or a set, or QJ. There was no way my hand was any good.
