Why is it that its PTBB/100 hands, and PTBB is 2xBB? Why not just BB/100? What's the reason for looking at your win rate as 2xBB when BB/100 works fine for limit holdem?

i believe it stems from limit, where the turn and river are 2x the BB

You're spot on (talking about the limit part, can't tell for the moron part /images/graemlins/smile.gif ).
PTBB are Big Bets, not Big Blinds.

Because poker tracker was originally made for limit.

Because poker tracker was originally made for limit.

One nice thing it does is allow consistent winrate comparisons between NL and limit. 5 PTBB/100 is the same winrate in either case.

I agree. Also, I'd assume that limit being the standard until a couple years ago - always had a winrate measured in big bets. Saying PTBB is kind of redundant. You could easily say 5BB/100, but since there is no big bet in NL, people say PTBB instead.
