Villain is unknown at this point. I've been playing pretty tight up until this point.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) internettexasholdem.com (http://www.internettexasholdem.com)

Button ($21.50)
SB ($39.05)
Hero ($58.15)
UTG ($22.70)
MP ($7.95)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif, J/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
UTG calls $0.50, 3 folds, Hero checks.

Flop: ($1.25) J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 5/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Hero bets $1, UTG calls $1.

Turn: ($3.25) A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
Hero bets $2.5, UTG raises to $5, Hero calls $2.50.

River: ($13.25) 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $5, Hero calls $5.

Final Pot: $23.25

I would fold to a pot size bet on the river. Anything between half to full sized I would think about it. Any bet close to full pot is likely fold.

I play it the same way you do, and expect to see A5 at showdown, with AK as next most likely hand.

I dont think any sane player is limping utg with A5. I would be more concerned with something like A9, cos I think he would have raised his AJ here.

But hey, with no read on villan its hard to tell. What did he have?

I expect to see AK or AQ but also A9 often.

I think you might check the turn against some opponents to keep the pot smaller and induce more bluffs? Tight agressive players with probably call with just and ace and raise with Aces up but they might bluff bigger with just and ace or worse if you check.

Generally I would do the same and get a sinking feeling on the turn raise.

Maybe consider overbetting the flop against some really loose, overly agressive players who are liable to force you to call a big bet somewhere down the line?

wow, your really screwed this up. Here comes this shorty donk raising you on the turn and ready to get all-in with any crap he happens to have.. AND YOU CALL!!! Your hand is the nuts against this guys range.

Insta-shove turn over his raise. As played on turn, open shove river. As played on river, c/r all-in. You should have been all-in before the river, but instead you play it stupid and slow and save the donkey his last $11 so that someone else can take it.
