So this post represents a number of firsts for me. I've been lurking for several months, and I feel I've lurked enough to start posting. In addition, this hand is from the first time I've played in a live casino, the first time I've played at stakes above $1, and the first time I have a hand really worth posting (I hope).

The game is a $2/$5 spread-limit game on every round, with a single $2 blind. This came in the first 60-90 minutes of the session, just as I'm beginning to relax and calm down. I've only been playing quality hands, but I've been getting more than my fair share of them. The villian seems like the most solid person at the table, but I don't have much to back that assertation up.

Pre-flop
Hero has K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 10 /images/graemlins/club.gif in the blind.
3 folds, Villain calls, 5 folds, Hero checks.

Flop: ($4) K /images/graemlins/club.gif 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif 8 /images/graemlins/club.gif
Hero bets $5, Villain raises to $10, Hero?

How often will I be against hands that have sufficient outs to justify calling (2 pair and trips) as opposed to hands with a higher made flush or flush draw than mine?

I think 3-betting for value is your best option here. It's likley you're ahead, villain will often be holding a flush draw or worse pair, and have a reasonable flush draw to bail you out when behind.

Folding is a clear mistake, in my opinion, and shouldn't even be considered.

I think I'd call and donk a safe turn card.

However, some may like the line of 3betting the flop and leading the turn instead?

You have a great hand here with TP and 4 to the one card flush. I 3-bet here, and plan to lead on the turn. If a club falls on the turn and you are raised, I'd call and then c/f the river.

3-bet flop -> back villain down, you likely have the best hand at this point. Lead the turn, get to the river cheap if raised on a 4th flush card.

It's really player dependent.

Most hands that have you outkicked raise preflop. AK and KQ im not too concerned about, unless he's a LPA. Also - made flushes generally wait for the turn. I think that you're ahead quite often despite the raise, so id 3bet to make sure im not giving free turns. A cap could just as soon mean a TPGK, a set or a lone ace of clubs. People love jamming with high clubs there. I'd probably check/call and check/fold the river UI if he capped if he's straight forward. Made flushes generally stop'n go or wait for the turn.

I'd probably check/raise the flop unless he's particularly passive... though im not sure that really helps. I just prefer it because most players bet with nearly anything there when the BB checks to them, and i want some value when they're drawing slim to dead.

Why would you call the turn raise here and then fold on river. You have zero outs to beat a flush so you have no redraws. Seems to me you make a choice on turn to fold or go to showdown here. Or are you hoping villian checks behind on river for a free showdown and if he bets again he must have it?
