I would never call. This is not a bad fold. Your other option is to push and root for either many many folds or many many calls.

Really. That is my standard play with AK in spots like this, unless villan is super tight or super aggro.

I think a push is pretty terrible against an unknown.

Grunch - does this change for you on a 6-max table?

Actually I thought it was 6m.

I wouldn't disagree. "Pretty terrible" might be strong, but folding would be my first choice.

I would have called this in the past oop, but because of me being OOP and the quite large raise I thought of it as a crying fold. I hate folding AK pre

If I'm reading this right, you're getting 5.85 : 2.5 or a little better than 2:1. Which is good, but your reverse implied odds are bad OOP and the button should be able to play his hand perfectly if he is any good.

If you flop an Ace or King, and Button is behind, he should lose a little. Stack sizes look like you are going to lose $21 or over 80BB if you hit flop but are behind. Most of the time, you will just miss this flop and check and fold. 2:1 against a pair and unless some gutter with OC or flush draw, probably gonna give it up.

I guess with reads, we can always come up with situations to call or push being correct. Against an unknown, I guess I am folding (which seemed crazy to me when I first read the post), tough spot for me. I guess this is kinda long, but its my first post here.

I played a hand tonight that was pretty much the same and I called.

I agree with folding though. The flop is going to miss you most of the time, and you're going to be OOP.

Folding is goot. Think about his range and what's going to happen if you hit an A or K.
