Edit: Added stack sizes

Villain is pretty loose 31/16/3. I'm thinking I should probably 3bet river all in.

I think calling's fine if you have $39 more behind you before the river call. I don't really want to go bust here, but your hand is decent enough to warrant a showdown. Don't be surprised if he shows you the boat though.

Lead the flop?

I didn't lead as he folds a lot to bets if he doesnt hit, and I thought there was a good chance I could get a free card. I added stack sizes to the OP as well.

I would definitely lead this flop.

As played, I think calling the river is fine. He most likely has a six with a suited connector. 67, 64, 77, and 44 are a good enough part of his range to merit caution here.

Getting him to fold isn't a bad thing.

The problem is, if he hit this board and continues he will have an overpair or a 6 which he will raise me with. If I just call it gets a bit more money in the pot from his the times he bluffs here and gives me a chance to pick up a slightly larger pot when I donk the turn which I was intending to do regardless of what fell.

You take the pot down on the flop the vast majority of the time.

You don't have a completed hand, you only have a draw.

Just bet the flop

ya bet the flop. I would just call the river also.

You want him to fold on the flop, you have 5 high.

leading the flop is correct here esecially when u have a read he folds a lot. that is monsterous +EV. as played the river looks like a call.

ps love ur avatar. very sexay

If he folds a lot on the turn too what difference does it make? It gives him a chance at a free card if he whiffed the flop, but when he does bet the flop I can pick up a larger pot some of the time and when he checks I get a free card on my draw. Seems win win to me.

the problem is u r gonna let him take the lead in a pot that was urs on the flop if u bet.

u check the flop and he hits tp on the turn now u r well behind here and lost tons of equity in the pot. why not take the pot down on the flop like 70% of the time and if he calls or raises then u can revaluate later.

Only hand that villain could have that would make perfect sense is 77. I don’t think that UTG+1 would limp in with 67 or 64. Also I think that usually 66 or 44 wouldn’t bet that flop. Still, calling the river is mandatory, because you are able to see quite amazing hands often enough at these stakes.

I also prefer leading the flop, although in this hand, I don’t think that it would have made any difference to the outcome.
