villain 23/3/1.5

I cant think of any hand that calls the flop and pushes the river that I beat. AQ/KQ/JJ/TT never push the river here, not with a flush on the board and with my pf reraise signalling a big pair or AK (if I have AK why would he push?)

how many times is this a missed turn c/r? I think it is very likely at this level, and typically turn c/r beat one pair.

Why did you check the turn? This is not a rhetorical question.

the stack sizes make this near impossible to play well imo. if u bet the turn u have to call a push.

so i think i like ur play in checkin the turn to at least induce a worse hand to push the river.

as played i think u have to sigh and call.

Don't check turn. Bet. Yeah its a scare card, but why give a free card to a 4flush draw, or a some kinda stupid gut shot draw. I'd say bet 10 here, if he raises all in, then fine. Its not a terrible place to lose I think. As for the river call, he took the initiative away from you, and calling is largely opponent dependant getting 2-1 odds.

at the time i had two thoughts -

he played flop like a flush draw

and if hes not on a draw and has JJ, TT, whatever, I can indce a 1/2 pot river bet (though giving a free card to 4th diamond sucks)

that was my thought process. reprogram my brain please

edit - im guessing this is not one of those pot control moments, right?

push him all in on the turn... he's short, and you have KK. If he has AK of clubs you win your pot, and you dont' have to make a tough decision if the other diamond falls like it did.

ps. i like your title, got a laugh out of me.
