I actually put villain on an Ace at this point.

I like just calling there. You have position on him and you'll get to see what he does on the turn.

i think calling here is terrible...raise that up everyday of the week (with folding equity and making your draw deceptive; it is by far the +EV play)

I make a potsized re-raise, too lazy to count the size because potsize and stuff is missing.

Definately raise that flop...If you run a poker stove on all aces excluding AQ you are almost exactly a coinflip. You definately have some FE if he has just a pair of aces. Pop that bet to about 4-5 and after that it's all you can eat.
