Bodog full-table. No solid reads. I have $39 to start the hand (I just lost $10 the prior hand), the main opponent in the SB has over $60, whereas the CO and Button have $15 and $12 respectively.

Preflop: BB posts $0.50. chesspain is MP with A /images/graemlins/heart.gif K /images/graemlins/club.gif.
2 folds, chesspain raises to $2, 2 folds, CO calls $2, Button calls $2, SB calls $2, BB folds.

Flop: ($8.50) 3 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif A /images/graemlins/club.gif T /images/graemlins/club.gif. (4 players)
SB bets $0.50, chesspain raises to $5, CO folds, Button folds, SB calls $5.

Turn: ($18.50) 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif
SB checks, chesspain checks.

River: ($18.50) 7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
SB bets $3, chesspain calls $3.

1) Any reason to raise more on the flop, especially with two shorties still to act?
2) Is this a proper check-behind on the turn?
3) Should I have min-raised the river?

Just bet whatever you'd normally bet on the flop. I normally make it at least $6.50 here.

I like the turn check here. The only draw just got there, but you have the nut redraw.

I don't raise river, just because I hate reopening the betting.

1) no
2) I think its fine, I smell a made draw, and if another club falls, you've got yourself some nuts
3) no. NEVER minraise. calling is fine here IMO

I dont mind the turn check since we have Kc, but usually I bet here.

River is fine.

This is wrong there's lots of places that min-raising is ok. The problem is that new players usually pick the wrong spots.

doesn't $3 into a $21 pot seem a bit weak?

Unless he's the type of player that would trap you into a reraise?

3. Fine
2. Since you have Kc here this is nice check, otherwise I'd bet it.
1. Prolly good raise.

I see that a lot on lower limits. They bet small to try and Induce a reraise and then go all-in or rereraise.

looks good, raise more on flop.

Im raising this to about $8 on the flop. I think he has a weaker ace here more often than the fd, and you have the nut redraw so bet the turn and get value, I like about 2/3 pot here.

I challenge you to explain why minraising is bad.

I would also like to know.

My other question is what should the OP do if the villain made a pot sized bet on the river? Call or fold?

raise more on the flop unless ur really thinking that ur afrai d of the short stacks to have 2 pair or better...

I highly doubt ur folding to a shove from a short stack, so why not full protect ur hand on the flop. I honestly am torn between scared ace rag and made flush for the villan, but Raise to like $7.50 on flop. Dont fear dem shorties, ur calling their push anyways.

there are few things i enjoy more in nl then finding a spot to min-raise. i'm not sure why but it just feels awesome.
