Only been at the table for around 3 orbits. Both of these guys had been splashing around in a lot of pots so far. Comments appreciated. To quick to try and get in?

I don't know the answers to these questions but these are possibly some things to think about.

What are you getting called with here? Big pairs? What's the pre-flop raiser folding here? AK type hands?

Is this a situation where you could slowplay the hand? Perhaps the best scenario would be an overcard coming on the turn and making a second best hand for the BB.

Basically, is there more value in getting it all in now and hoping BB calls with a big pair or giving him a chance to make a second best hand or induce a bluff?

just make it $40 and shove a turn.

Bad push. Even AA has hard time calling this. Give him some room, your hand is strong enough.

p.s.: I bet if you just called 5 would come up /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Thanks thought I overplayed it, but with 2 interested parties I didn't think it wasn't sure if it was awful.

I don't think it's bad although your stack size is awkward for both raising and pushing. I think I'd raise to $40 and push any turn.

agreed little too much, wait for the turn to shove

Don't give villian the opportunity to play it perfectly.

Id either raise 40ish or depending on the player I might try a miniraise and call a push (if he does push), basically whatever u can do to get him or you to put it all in works.

calling has potential.

edit: I didnt mention it, but stack size does make this slightly intresting because anything besides a mini raise looks like u might be playing for your stack with potential to shove turn, so thats why I think calling has potential but could be a tarded thing.

PSR is 16*4. 48? that seems a bit large too. i think 40 is the right amount here. But as mentioned before, if a 5 comes you are PISSSED. Not a horrible play, but i think you are missing a tiny bit of value.

4_2, will you elaborate on 'playing it perfectly' ?

He's saying the flop raise allows him to fold everything you're already beating.

I think I agree here and just call

EDIT: I'm open for someone to convince me that raising the flop is better

Raise to $40 seems low. Raise by 40 or so ( I like round numbers, so I go with to $60). And be ready to push/call for all-in on turn.

I will take a shot. Playing perfectly here is pushing out hands that would call and continue on the turn. With a push, you really don't give villains much room to continue. They only call with very strong hands....hands that beat you. You have to put them in a difficult decision, not an easy one.
