Villian literally sat down 2 hands ago, so no reads. Call the river? Also should I bet more on the turn?

I am really unsure. A flush and a straight could have been made on the river card. He could have 56 thinking he could take down the pot on the flop. He could have a pocket pair such as 44 and he is trying to trap you on flop and turn.

I guess his range is so wide it might be +0 EV but -Variance, so I would fold.

how often does he have Q2, K2, or A2 here... if the case 2 is out i think its just a bad beat and i cant see what hand would have played this way with a back door flush. call

This looks like a X/images/graemlins/heart.gif2/images/graemlins/heart.gif that backed into a flush.

I'd give it up. He has to be an idiot too much of the time for this to be profitable.

Bet more on the turn and call on the river.

He's a complete unknown. We don't default to giving unknowns respect? I do.

here, i think the sb got himself into a mess and tried to bluff his way out of it on the river. the only logical hand he could have is a flush, and i wouldnt give this guy credit for backing into a flush here. theres too many botched hands that he could have in this spot and your hand is too good to fold.

Ok thanks all I thought folding might be weak here. Turned out opponent had 3 /images/graemlins/heart.gif5 /images/graemlins/heart.gif which made perfect sense after the fact. But I think there are enough worse 2's and other random hands (overpairs, etc) that it was worth calling here.

Thanks!
