Villain is 35/0/0.7 @ 40 hands.

How's my line? On the river I put him on top pair/2 pair or a very slowly played set and I wanted value from the first 2 categories.

i can't see him having a set here. seems like a calling station that doesnt want to give up his button.

I like a smaller river bet better (maybe $8). I think the rest of the hand looks fine.

He has $11 behind. If he's calling $8, he's calling $11.

Looks fine to me. I notice no pf raises by him yet - had you seen him showdown a pocket pair yet?

Anyone like the idea of checking the river to induce a bet by villian?

Well, nobody mentions the draw that came in on the river, which I didn't notice myself (villain had QT). Very often I don't notice open ended straight draws, and then pay them off when they hit. Was just wondering if I made a huge mistake, or if his range is wide enough for me to bet into him. Maybe a check/call would have been better, I don't know.

Your play is fine. If he's going to call off a turn bet with an outside straight draw--also known as 8 outs--also known as 17%--then you're in good shape.

Would have made a pot sized bet post flop myself and again on the turn to stop him making his draw.
