PJ I'm not exactly sure what you are questioning in this hand. I'm gonna guess UTG bet the river with something like 87 and MP2 took it down with 22 or so. I'll listen to arguements from those that think this is a bet/fold situation. I just can't see throwing another bet at this pot just to win three or four. If this was HU against MP2 than I say bet/fold. I also think it is a hard hand to bluff at for any of the players between the presense of the third player, a paired board which you could be trapping with, and a small pot for anyone to risk a bet. I don't see your check as a risky bluff-inducing move.

was this a definite river call if mp2 folds?

I don't see much else you can do. In an unraised three-handed pot, I bet out second pair almost all of the time. Everything after the flop seems reasonably standard.

I don't overcall the river. I'm often tossing in a bet if I'm not overcalling, though.

Were you the guy on Harv's left or right? Neither of you were in the hand, I know that much.

No, I wasn't in the hand or at the table.

I could see calling the river, but overcalling feels dirty.

Does anyone here c/f the turn because of two overcallers on the flop?

You were pretty new to the table when this one happened, I remember...I had you noted as a 2+2'er but didn't know it was you precisely. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Even with the reads that you eventually developed, tough as hell to overcall here with your hand. Which seems to make bet/fold a better river option, although again it's tough to see value in a river bet here as you aren't getting called by too many worse hands, or folding any better ones.

Sorry you go there so late....that was one helluva table. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

You have to bet the turn here; nobody raised the flop, so it's unlikely anyone has the nine, and you might actually get a (slightly) better 6 to fold if your opponent is reasonable. Besides which, way too many people will take a card off with overs on that flop.
