he had been pretty loose, and we were exchanging blows..

He 3-bet you on the flop. The WORST hand I can imagine doing this is AQ. I think 2 pair+ is much more likely, and sometimes a big draw. On the turn, the most likely draw hit, and the guy shoves. Good time to let this go.

oh and edit: raise much more (closer to pot) if you're going to raise at all!

i would've raised a little more on the flop, if he 3bet i would probably just shove

Folding that turn...not after his flop play. He has K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif which changes it a lot. Me, I shove the flop. KQ and AQ are just as likely as hands he loses to.

You really think so? I didn't notice K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif but still, I don't think people will play KQ this hard.

I've seen players at 10NL play KT hard here.

a solid player betting pot into you is almost always trouble. I think I just call the flop. This may be weak/tight.

BTW: I think a minraise on the flop is awful.
