NL 25: AA Turn Play

Villain was playing 23/23/2.5 over ~80 hands.

Villain has a little over one PSB left by the turn. I cant possibly check behind on board this drawy, can I? With the stack sizes as is, I figure he pays off with an over pair to the board.

I would not be too concerned about this board on the turn against just one laggy opponent.

Your preflop raise and flop bet looked fine to me.

However, your all in turn bet looks too big as it 1.5 times the size of the pot.

Unless your opponent is very loose, I would only expect him to call a turn bet that size if he had something like 2 pair or a set.

I think that a turn bet of say $10 (2/3 pot size, similar to your flop bet), would probably be sufficient.

That should allow your opponent to continue to call, while still giving him poor odds to improve to a better hand than yours.

Definitely.

OP's all in on the turn is not 1.5x the pot as villian only has $17 left. It's a $17 bet on at $14 pot.
