I currently use Echecks to deposit and cashout from Pokerstars.
It seems to me that this is the easiest form of electronic transfer for the US-government to stop: simply by telling US -banks not to accept Echecks from a list of sites.
Does anyone know why this hasn't happened yet, whether this is actually going to take place in the next month or so?

And how would they do that? By site name? ISP address? Bank account number?
Seems to me it wouldn't be too tough to set up work-arounds for this. But then, I ain't no banker....

Ask again at the end of the 270 day period.

The Government can't "tell" banks to do stuff under the UIGEA. They have to follow the process and write an actual banking regulation.
I seriously doubt the regulations will be issued piecemeal. The whole package will come out at once.
