Hi,guys! Opponent in this hand is loose and fishy so he could have just about anything. However, at the end I didn't bet because of flush on the board even though it is not likely that opponent was drawing to the flush. But he could have just about anything. Also, he could try to bluff after my check on the river so I checked. Now I ask myself if I should bet? I think so.

why the hell did you check river? -The backdoor flush got there too.
SO WHAT?!? It's a backdoor flush, there is absolutely no reason to believe he has got the flush. Your hand is pretty much the nutzors against his range here. Bet the river for value all day, I'd make it 2.5-3 and hope he calls. Also I would c/f turn.

PS. Pick 2+2 as the format in converter dropdown menu

Bet the river. Maybe 2/3 of the pot.

If you lose to a runner-runner flush, it sucks, but that's poker. Nine out of ten times here, you're ahead.

You got the river card you were hoping for, so don't waste it. Bet the river. A lot of opponents will call happily this with top pair or two pair.

Checkfold turn? I didn't cause I had outs. Was that wrong?

If I checked the river and he bets I wouldn't call and hit it.

Ofcourse not. The queen was destined to fall and you knew that when you bet. NH, sir.

also, from the way you described him it doesn't sound like he would bluff this river. so just pot it and giggle as you make monies

yeah this is a very easy bet. only thing you lose to is runner runner flush. 10 9 OESD just got there and there is no reason we should let him see a showdown for cheap. he probably has one pair and will call a close to PSB on river

I don't know why I didn't bet the river. It seems stupid.

Bet more on the flop, probably check the turn, and bet good on the river. You are more or less value betting now, and if you already knew that that queen was coming on the river, then that is cool, but otherwise it is not +ev.

Well, I didn't know that queen was coming. I thought I could bluff him out because I didn't have a read that he was loose. My mistake. I got read when he showed Q3of spades at the end. So, thanks, guys for comments. GL at the tables!

I bet here almost always I would make a value bet here of like 1/3 of the pot.

By checking here, you miss making money on the time villain holds a medium strength hand and will pay you off.

You set yourself up into a situation where you make no extra money when you could, and will lose money calling villains bet when he actually does hit his backdoor flush.

on turn, sometimes bet, sometimes check fold. You're 200bb deep which acts in favour of betting, i think, but equally at $5NL you want to focus more on value betting and less on semibluffs etc which acts in favour of check/fold (i guess, no real experience at $5NL). Against a thinking villain a turn bet will quite likely push out small PPs and other marginal hands. Against a fish, 22 is calling to the river.

River is an easy bet - sizing is tricky, if you bet and get raised, how much would you call?
