i was trying to keep the pot semi small but villian is 57/18
over the 150+ hands i have, i didnt want to flat call on turn and then call a river push. any suggestions or other lines?

why didn't you raise the flop? also, i don't see why you wouldn't want to play a big pot here with an overpair against a fish

Raise to $1.25 preflop. Raise the flop. Turn is perfect.

Why on earth do you wan't to keep the pot small with your overpair against a fish? Raise flop to 12 and push turn.
