Anyone else try out tropical poker (http://tropicalpoker.com) 's sit and go freerolls and/or the MTT freerolls? They had a 10 person sng running 24/7 with 1st place winning 50 cents, 2nd taking 30cents and 3rd taking 20 cents. I have actually earned 42 dollars from just playing in these sit and gos and to be honest, the site is promising, with lots of cool features and freerolls running 'round the clock.

The problem now, is tropical decided to put a restriction on these freeroll earnings. Their policy is:

" Tropical Poker is proud to offer special Freeroll Multi-Table tournaments to reward our new players who are helping test the Tropical Poker software. This provides you with an opportunity to earn bonus money in advance of Tropical Poker's official opening in March 2006

These promotional tournaments will run around the clock until we go live with real money games and tournaments. Once we go live, 10% of the money you have earned will be released into your real money account, and the only requirement to have any remaining bonus money released into your cash account is that you earn 10 points for every $1 of bonus money being released.

For example, $10 dollars of bonus money is released into your cash account for every 100 Points you earn. Please see the Tropical Points section of our website for further details. "

Is this normal for poker rooms to put restrictions on freeroll earnings? In 3 years of playing online poker and playing in freerolls, I have never heard of restrictions set on freeroll money. A lot of us are angry (some players have over 1000$ generated from these freerolls) and think it is unfair that they would put a restriction AFTER we have earned our money. If they had the policy in their terms and conditions BEFORE they introduced the freerolls in late 2005, it would be a different story. But the fact that they would place the restriction after letting these sng's run for months is rediculous. Seems like they realized their mistake in handing out freeroll money like candy and are now just trying to recoup their losses. What are your guy's takes on this matter?
