I doubt a 21/9 plays QJ, I think a flush is much more likely here

I think you have to call here. Alot of draws came in and he could be sitting on AJ/KJ/QJ/TJ aswell as hit a straight or a flush. You are ahead more often than behind.

Easy call IMO.

Villain does this with a wider range but if we only consider JJ, QJ, QQ, AJ, and 66 then there are 10 combos we lose to and 11 we beat. EASY call.

Edit: Easy, but maybe agonizing in the sense you may get your heartrate up.

QQ would be a raise PF so don't worry about that. QJ would normally raise the turn not the river since villian with trip JJJ is going to want to not give proper odds to flush draws.

This looks to me like a made flush. (But my hand reading sucks) I Push.

Does anyone think that maybe betting half the pot would allow us to push more often here? Maybe a weak bet allows villian to raise with a worse hand and we can push rather than calling a push?

I think that only gets value from AJ and maybe KJ because a flush or better should raise the psb and weaker J's are likely to just call both bets.

If I were to bet smaller, then I'd make it 2/3-pot. If we only bet half a pot then we're losing too much value of hands that only call us and don't raise.

I'm 18/11 and I play QJ from late position.

BTW Shove&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;Call in this spot. This is a flush or a lone jack (neither of which are folding) often enough to warrant a value push.

Yeah, seriously this is beyond easy play. My simple rule is you don't ever fold boats, unless the board is double paired or tripped.

if by agonizing you mean you say something along the lines of "thank you lord for this bounty i am about to receive" as you shove all in as fast as you can...
