I know nothing about Villain except that I've played him at mid stakes limit tables and he's been LAGy there.

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is CO with 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif A/images/graemlins/heart.gif
2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $2.5</font>, 2 folds, BB calls.

Flop: 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif 4/images/graemlins/spade.gif J/images/graemlins/club.gif ($5.25, 2 players)
BB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $3</font>, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to $6</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: 4/images/graemlins/club.gif ($17.25, 2 players)

River: K/images/graemlins/club.gif ($41.25, 2 players)
BB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $15</font>

I figured I had enough implied odds to call the flop.

On the turn, I thought he would have a hard time calling with much that I beat if I raised. So I decided to wait and hope he bet the river. When he checks the river, should I bet more or less? He has about 25 left at that point.

I would bet more on the flop, like $4. Certainly call his minraise.

Calling the turn-bet is fine, try to let him bet his stack away.

I like your river bet too. No reason why the K/images/graemlins/club.gif should scare you.

know what would be sick here? a turn min-raise

i think this is fine as played, although i feel like given how much he has left in his stack $10 might be a better river bet

Unless you know that villain often raises c-bets with air, what is your plan if the turn blanks? Do you call the flop C/R all the time?

so ur saying he min raised with top pair? why cant more villans do this /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Id take him to value town here and bet like 10. I know this seems like a tiny bet compared to the pot, but with his check on the river i dont think hes gonna call much more.

Usually I advocate at least half pot, but he is showing extreme weakness with this checkc on the river methinks.

I was planning to fold the turn unless he made a ridiculously small bet. If he had checked I would have checked through. I basically saw my hand as a draw to two pair/trips.

Just curious, do you always open for 5xBB or was this a slight over-bet to try and take pot down here with a blind steal?

Thanks,

I play very little NL, but my general idea was to mix it up between 3-5xbb.
