Hey everyone. I got my start bonus whoring micro-limit games, before moving to SNGs at the beginning of this year. Those are still my main games, but I'm just beginning to dabble in the NL ring game world.

I'll probably post several hands here over time, because I feel so lost almost everytime I'm in a hand (unless I have a set). So feel free to question every single decision I make...

Pertinent reads: MP2 is a total donk (45/2); CO is a little better (35/10), both over 30ish hands.

Do I raise pre-flop? Does MP2 being short matter at all?

Flop: ($0.85) 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players)
Hero bets $0.75, MP2 calls $0.75, CO raises to $3.25, Hero calls $2.50, MP2 calls $2.50.

Here I figured I could check-call (but I thought I'd want a bigger pot than that), bet-3bet (maybe not that big), or bet-call (an acceptable compromise, or just wimpy?). In a SNG, I'd probably 3-bet all-in, but is that a good idea here?

Turn: ($10.60) A/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $1.25 (All-In), CO raises to $3.25, Hero calls $3.25.

I guess this is a good card. Lead here? Check-raise cutoff? Check-calling felt very pansy-like.

River: ($18.35) K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players, 1 all-in)
Hero...?

Obviously I'm betting, but how much? $10? Pot? Surely a push is too much, yes?

Thanks for any and all advice.

Yes, you raise pre-flop. Most posters around here, myself included advocate about 4BB+1 per limper, two limpers here means you want to raise to about $1.50 ($1.25 more) Now, you cbet this flop hard, overcards, nut flush draw and nut straight draw. Call the raise because MP2 cannot really hurt our draws that bad and we know we are now drawing.

Turn I bet out or c/r. As played, when the Ace hits the turn I think I am c/ring here. Pot is ~15, so I think a 3/4 PSR is needed, post is 18 after you call, so add $13 so I would raise to $16-$17 on the turn.

On the river I am then in a position to push. FWIW, remember to take out the red tag in your post as we can assume you bet here /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Edit: FWIW, if you had raised to $1.50 and one called, the pot would be ~$3.25. You c-bet that with $3 and get raised to ~10 and call. The pot is now ~13 so when the turn ace hits, a 3/4 PSB would be about $9-10. On the river, I just want to get as many chips in as possible, figure out a way.

raise preflop please... to 1.25-1.5, (pot=4-4.5) bet 3-4 on the flop, assuming they just call the flop i would put out a blocking bet on the turn (prolly around 6-7) to keep the pot a decent size but allow me to fold to a river push. then i would either pot or shove river... but thats just me
