I'm really not sure what the villain is representing here other than a flopped straight. I looked in his hand history while deliberating the river call, and didn't see any big outlandish river bluffs from him (not that this couldn't have been one). Villain stats were a little crazy 64/20/3 over 70 hands. Do you call on the river?

I don't know why but I wouldn't want to call a psb on the river with this hand.

raise the turn ... by displaying strength pf and flop ... and just calling this turn ... you are pretty much turning your cards face up... "I HAVE EITHER 88 99 1010 or JJ" ...

it also makes it an easy bluff opportunity on the river for him cuz he knows you arent too strong.

however ... had you bet turn and he b3b there ... you know you are beat ... or if u raise turn .... he calls and leads river, then you can be pretty sure u are beat also ... but since you just called it puts u in a difficult spot on the river, cuz he could be bluffing here ...

id still fold river though as played

I agree Marshall, I could have reraised the turn, but the leadout bet after my raising the leadout on the flop signaled to me that he wanted another re-raise. I'd been active at the table, and felt like I was being goaded into putting money in. I agree that I would have had more info by 3betting the turn, but by that point I was ready to call it a day on this hand.

pretty easy turn raise. especially with that type of bet, its either a weak block or on occasion he hoping you repop him again (not the case v often at all though), anyway, easy easy turn raise, and raise a healthy amount.
