I felt like I was behind, but if i were to fold on this flop, I might as well have folded to the PF 4-bet. Yeah?

Bump because I think this hand is more interesting than it seems.

I really doubt villain is doing this with anything else than AA or KK and IMO you're not deep enough to call for set value. So I fold to preflop 4-bet. As played preflop I'm not really sure either, if he has AA or KK he'll call surely if he has the A/images/graemlins/heart.gif or K/images/graemlins/heart.gif in his hand, and I'm not sure he'll fold AA even if he hadn't.

I think he has kings or aces. Fold to flop bet. His pre-flop actions gave him away.

Flop is irrelevant given preflop action unless you have a superb read that he'll 4 bet you with something other than AA/KK. Push or fold the flop IMO but as played if you feel like you were ahead pre you have to take it all the way. If you change your mind however there is no shame in folding - even though your heart may be live, you have zero FE so you cant push and you have incorrect pot odds to flat call it.

So IMO either you push preflop or you flat call playing purely for set value and c/f the flop.

I think you're looking at KK/AA most of the time. The only hand that I can think of that you're ahead of is AK with nut flush draw. I'd probably lay this down on the flop. Is this terribly weak?

Laying it down on the flop is not an option.

I think the question to fold comes up when he 4-bets.

In retrospect I think I should have either pushed/folded preflop

my advice was "given the action", I would have folded to the reraise. Not enough for set value, and this is almost always KK/AA IMO

Is that before of after he 4-bets? Before the 4-bet, pushing just loses a lot of value. After the 4-bet we know we're toast most often, unless the villain likes to 4-bet light.

Please reraise more preflop. You're giving him massive implied odds and every reason to call with this small reraise.
