N00bs and rubes, NL is a game where we can be playing for stacks on any given hand. You should find within this thread various methods of getting your stack in the middle. Open to all, post your awesomeness here. Enjoy!

Requirements for posting hands in this thread:

1. Hero believes he played the hand well.
2. HERO MUST WIN AT LEAST 80 bb's.
3. Post only converted hands and remember to post results.
4. It's also very nice of you if you can take the results out of white, so we don't have to highlight to see them.
5. If it's not obvious why you played the hand the way you did, give a quick reasoning.

So, if you play a hand that qualifies over the weekend, post it here and share the joy. Weekend starts now and runs through Sunday night.

Lets have some of the vets show the uNL noobs how its done, and have the n00bs make us proud.

Let us gogogogogo!

OK,

did I play the hand well? Yes. I am not folding an overpair to an unkown on my first orbit at the table. Nice suckout too...the only one I can find in PT after 19K hands where I spike my overpair two-outer on the river against a set.

I've been on a heater since the three-day weekend started yesterday afternoon. Here were a couple of fun read-based plays from today.

<font color="blue">Villain is 44/10/1.6, and LOVES to run some majorly aggressive bluffs. He'll three-barrel pot-sized bluffs with complete air at times. He's dangerous, but he's potentially profitable if I can catch him looking....</font>

<font color="blue">Reraising preflop with a strong hand, hoping to pick the pot up immediately or with a c-bet. No fold? OK; let's play some poker.</font>

<font color="#cc0000">Pokey bets $25</font>, Button calls.

<font color="blue">Monotone flops scare the bejeezus out of everybody; I make a strong continuation bet with TP2K, expecting villain will go away unless he has a club. He doesn't go away. The odds of an opponent having flopped made flush are extremely small, and I figure this villain would just push over me right away if he had it. I'm cautiously optimistic about my odds in the hand.</font>

<font color="blue">Now that's what I mean by "aggressive." Still, the overbet feels a bit bluffy to me, and I've got a decent made hand. If villain is on a club or straight draw, I've probably got him dead. It's a chancy call, but it's +EV in the long run. NOTE: if the turn had been a club, I'm instafolding to this or any other decent-sized bet.</font>

Button here is a nutjob - I have folded often to flop pushes from him recently - UTG is a TAG who keeps 3betting me preflop (but only when I'm raising sc's or other rubbish /images/graemlins/mad.gif) - preflop open push designed to look like an iso raise vs this TAG and sucker him into calling me light.

Sadly none of that was neccesary - he was probably calling anyway with AK - who cares /images/graemlins/smile.gif - ship it.

Villain has made my life miserable recently, doubling up on me as the underdog or 50/50 at least 8 times the last week and a half. I hate his avatar, I hate his name, and I'd even have trouble banging a hot sister of his just cause they are related.

Note on him, the classic...Overplays aces.

In my first ten hands i also got quads twice, both for stacks (not as satisfying as getting the shortstackers unusually large stack from him though)...not bad for a quick pre Saints game session. After they beat the steelers 27-20, my day will be complete.

Intersting side note: Running good is more fun than running bad.
