I can't understand why you checked on the turn. He could easily being playing KQs or KJs if he is loose preflop. I think that your turn check gave the impression that you didn't actually have an ace and then he might have you as TT, or JJ possibly.

Then ofcourse he is going to press you when he pairs his K.

The check on the turn is wierd imho. The only was I can see it is if your checking in order to get him to bet so you can push on the river. I still would bet the turn and if he pushes then so be it. I would go broke with this hand against this guy any time.
