I would c/c turn. I lead river for 12-15.

I bet this turn all day and abuse him for playing A-rag

I mostly play FR, so my handranges could be too tight, but...

When I dont have any reads, I think what I would do/see in villains position.
First I see a raise to 5BB => Hero has a good hand like AJ+ and TT+, maybe KQs
As villain, I would call with a pp, ATs+, AJo+ and high SC's.

Then the flop comes and there's an ace. Hero bets so he has one or pretends to have one. Me, as villain, wouldnt float without reads, so I need a set or the ATs+, AJo+.
With a set, I would probably raise on the flop or bet at the turn.
In other words: villain has an ace (90%).

On the turn, the Q comes and hero checks. If villain hit the Q (AQ), he probably would have bet out. As played, he didnt: villain probably has ATs or AJ.

The river is a complete blank. Hero hasnt improved, so a check isnt bad: villain will probably call a descent sized bet. Hero can ask himself: 'what size bet would I call?' and bet a bit less than that amount, hoping for the best.

I would value bet river typically. Turn c/c plan is fine.

what if you bet, he calls then you check river he bets strong? or what if you bet, he raises turn?? IMO this is a good opportunity to keep the pot small, am I missing some value?

Jay,
You are giving villian entirely too much credit.

And the raising range you are giving to hero is way to small for 6-max.

For handrange or thinking?

If handranges: I play FR mostly, so the handranges must be adapted to 6max.

If thinking: maybe you're right. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The point was: If I don't have any reads, I assume villain thinks like me.

both.

If I dont have any reads, I assume donk until proven otherwise (at 50NL 6-max)

I would play just as you did, but I would probably bet that river.
I like the check on the turn.
Nice hand.
